Digitec and NYU/PINE Wins Gold 2022 Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Award

PINE Portal recognized as the Best Advance in Diversity and Inclusion Innovation

ORLANDO, Fla. (December 9, 2022) —Digitec Interactive, a corporate training and learning and development production company, won the Gold Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology award in conjunction with NYU Steinhardt/PINE (Program for Inclusion and Neurodiversity Education) for the PINE Portal.

Through a combination of courses, tools, and resources, the PINE Portal trains educators at the primary and secondary levels on creating a more inclusive environment for neurodiverse and autistic students.

The PINE Portal consists of eleven courses, a content library which provides a variety of comprehensive resources and tools, developed utilizing Digitec’s Knowledge Direct learning management system. Digitec worked with the leaders of NYU/PINE and connected with autistic experts to develop the Portal’s strategy, including interactive activities, role-play, video, and a variety of diverse instructional resources.

PINE launched in 2020 with the Understanding Autism course, and since then, PINE and Digitec have worked together to build more illuminating courses and resources to advocate NYU/PINE’s mission of ‘empowering school systems to celebrate neurodiversity & transform inclusive practices.’
