Course Description

This training video gives wheel loader operators directions for working safely. It covers daily pre-operation inspections and maintenance requirements. Basic safe work practices, such as wearing proper attire, using seat belts, good housekeeping in the cab, fire extinguisher operations, pinch-point awareness, use of standard industry hand signals and safe nighttime operations are discussed. Wheel loaders are powerful pieces of equipment that can perform heavy-duty work, but operator error or carelessness can have devastating results. This video makes it clear the only brain a wheel loader has is the one in the head of person operating it. Safe and smart vehicle operations are stressed in this training, which concludes with a learning assessment to ensure the main points are understood.
