Course Description

This course discusses the importance of keeping confidentiality in mind when sending an email. When dealing with highly sensitive data, such as financial reports, credit or debit numbers, trade secrets, or negative opinions about customers or employees, it is vital to keep in mind the path emails travel from sender to recipient(s). This course talks about some common sense reminders, such as avoiding email as a means to terminate an employee or vendor. Some matters are better left face-to-face. This course is part of the Email Matters series. While most of us have figured out how to send and receive emails by now, there are some nuances of this form of communication that are not common sense. These short vignettes demonstrate specific practices for crafting professional and effective business emails. These tips help users create great customer service experiences and build business relationships with colleagues.
